ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE:
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome
coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has broken out globally. As the SARS-CoV-2 receptor,
ACE2 determines whether the virus can successfully infect the human body. Helicobacter
pylori (H. pylori) infection is also a global health problem. We propose that
H. pylori infection may up-regulate the expression of ACE2.
