ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION: Chronic hepatitis C is one of the most
common cause all over the world for causing cirrhosis of liver and thus requiring
liver transplantation as the definitive treatment which is beyond reach in most
of patients in developing countries. The availability of oral directly acting antiviral
for treatment in India since 2015 has changed the scenario due to its good
compliance among the patients.
