Biography:
Dr.
Anand Kar is M.Sc. and Ph.D. from a central university, Banaras Hindu
University (BHU), India. He is currently serving as a Senior Professor &
Head in School of Life Sciences, Devi Ahilya University, Indore, India with
more than 33 years of PG teaching and 40 yrs of research experience. Earlier he
served as Senior Research Officer, EPCO, Bhopal.,India.He has acted as the
Dean, Chairman Board of studies in Life Sciences, EC member and member of Univ Res Committee, Institutional Animal
Ethical Committee ,Research Degree Comm., Research advisory committee &
Academic council.
He has been
awarded with prestigious Common Wealth Academic Fellowship, UK; U.G.C.; Career
Res. Award, India; Young Scientist award from ISCA, India &,Best Science
Teacher-Researcher award of the University (2010). In 2017, he has been
felicitated with highest citation of res papers in DAVV, India and for his
outstanding contribution in Research, by Zoological Soc. of India and Life time
achievement award by ESW, India in 2018.
He has
published 165 full length research papers, including 132 in International
journals of repute, 22 in reputed National Jnls; 02 chapters in books (CRC
& Stadium, USA) and 2 review papers. Also 2 UGC countrywide class room
programs. He has handled 06 major research projects and has supervised 17 Ph.D.
& 11 M. Phil candidates.His total citations is above 4980, h-index-38

He is not only reviewer of some national and international journals, but also Editor of 7 different International Journals. In “Thyroid letter” he is the only editor form India. He has delivered invited talks in many national and some international symposia including a plenary talk in South Korea and has also chaired scientific sessions. He is also a resource person / faculty of some HRDC/ASC of India.
