Biography: MdShahabuddin is an Assistant Professor in the department of Physics at Allama Iqbal College, Patliputra University, India since 2009. He received his PhD in Condensed matter physics from Veer Kunwar Singh University in India in 2008. During 2010-11, he worked as a post-doctoral research associate at Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi, IN. He received many fellowships and awards. His field of research interest is in the area of Condensed Matter Physics. He published several research articles in international journals and presented papers in conference. He is the reviewer and editorial board member of scientific journals.

Research Interest: Md Shahabuddin area of research interest lie in the study of properties of rare earth ions doped metal oxide materials. His research interest is at the interface of device design of metal oxide thin films for gas sensing applications. Polymer composites are under processes for the development of novel reactive platform for trace level detection of gases and its experimental trial for commercialization. Current research activities also include the study of electronic properties of semiconducting materials prepared by sputtering and evaporation techniques and organic composites using chemical routes for photovoltaic devices and fuel cells
